Capital EX Lottery 2011 House Rules

The 2011 Capital EX Lotteries will now consist of one lottery:

Capital EX Lottery – 308,500 tickets printed (66, 700 Ticket Packages),
License # 311106. Total Ticket Value of $3,507,500

Advance and Onsite Sales:

Tickets will be sold in advance by internet (capitalexlottery.ca), mail in and by phone. Advance sales will stop on July 21, 2011 at 11pm. We will begin selling tickets onsite throughout Capital EX beginning July 22, 2011 until July 31, 2011.

  1. Single Tickets: Advance - 10,250 tickets, Onsite - 15,000 tickets
  2. Discount #1: 3 for $50: Advance - 34,500 tickets, Onsite - 21,750 tickets
  3. Discount #2: 10 for $100: Advance - 110,000 tickets, Onsite: 117,000 tickets

  • Grande Prize: 1,000,000 Cash
  • Second Prize: $250,000 Cash
  • Third Prize: $100,000 Cash
  • Early Bird Prize: $50,000 Cash
  • Previous Supporters Prize: 4 Cash prizes of $10,000 = $40,000 in Cash
  • Tertiary Prize #1: 250 prizes at $100 at least
  • Tertiary Prize #2: 125 prizes at $250 at least
  • Tertiary Prize #3: 125 prizes at $500 at least

Draw Dates:

The Previous Supporters cut off date for sales will be May 11, 2011 at 11pm. The Previous Supporters Draws will be on May 18, 2011.

The Early Bird cut off date for sales will be July 8, 2011 at 11pm. The Early Bird draw will be on July 15, 2011.

The Final Draws will be drawn in the following order:

  1. Tertiary Prize #3
  2. Tertiary Prize #2
  3. Tertiary Prize #1
  4. Third Prize
  5. Second Prize
  6. Grande Prize

The final draws will take place beginning at 8 pm on July 31, 2011 at the Paddock Theatre in Northlands Park.
 

Ticket Sales General

Tickets will only be sold to customers residing in Alberta unless the purchase is made within Alberta.

Tickets will be sold upon the receipt of cash, money order, cheque, VISA or MasterCard for sales via mail in applications; and VISA or MasterCard for applications received via telephone and Internet.

Refunds will be issued to purchasers who request in writing a refund provided that the tickets purchased have not been a part of any draw conducted.

In the event a ticket drawn for a prize results in Northlands being unable to contact that recipient within one year, Northlands will dispose of the prize with proceeds directed towards a registered charitable organization with approval from Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission.

There will be no request to Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission for draw date extensions and/or cancellation.

Winners must accept prizes as awarded

All winners must accept the prizes as awarded and no cash in lieu of options are available.

In the event a winning ticket has more than one name, Northlands has the authority to award the prize to any individual noted on the ticket.  Northlands and Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission will not be responsible for adjudicating the prize distribution to the individual who, as group representative, receives the prize.

No expenses incurred by the winner to claim their prize will be reimbursed.  Prizes are awarded from the respective suppliers located in or near Edmonton, Alberta area.

Participation of Minors

Minors (under the age of 18) are unable to purchase tickets in the raffles.  If they are named on the winning ticket, the Office of the Public Trustee will act as the agent for the minor’s interest in the prize disposition.

Publication of Winners’ Names

Northlands reserves the right to publish all winners’ names, addresses, and photos.  Prize winners will be posted on capitalexlottery.com within five business days after the respective draws take place.

Prize Eligibility

Full time Northlands and Stride Management Corp employees and members of their immediate households may not purchase tickets.  The respective service club executive raffle committee members also may not purchase tickets.
